About Commit Goods
What Commit Goods Is
Commit Goods exists so open source maintainers can keep building… while we handle the merch.
We’ve been running the official Oh My Zsh shop since 2013. Twelve years of shirts, stickers, mugs, shipping chaos, customer emails, and community-driven branding. After a decade of proving this model works, we expanded it to more projects that deserve the same lift.
How It Works
We take on everything: design, production, fulfillment, customer support.
The open source project maintainers stay focused on their code.
And every purchase sends them a real revenue share. Not symbolic “thanks.” Actual money.
Print-on-demand keeps waste down, inventory at zero, and products fresh. Nothing ends up in a warehouse pit or forgotten storage unit.
Why It Exists
Maintainers shouldn’t have to moonlight as merch managers.
You shouldn’t have to hunt for unofficial bootleg gear.
And open source shouldn’t depend on unpaid labor forever.
Commit Goods is our way of rebalancing that. Built by Planet Argon… a team with over two decades in open source and a front-row seat to how much these projects carry.
Why It Matters
They keep shipping code.
We run the shop.
You support the projects keeping your stack upright.
